meet the lamour family casual interview with Liz

Liz, tell us about this lovely fairy-tale?

I'm from Ireland and I came to work in France to improve my French when I was in university. I met Corentin in his parent's restaurant where I worked. We realised that we both liked the countryside, decoration, gardening, old things and DIY... We are together since then.

From this happy union were born 4 children, Dara, Molly, Una & Róisín as well as 8 cottages, Rose, Joséphine, Florence, Louise, Jeanne, Anne, Marie and Isidore. One big happy family !

Country houses, charming cottages, b&b, refined suites, how do you define your offer?

What we do is a mixture of all these different formulas so that the guests feel very welcome and feel as if they are at home. Decoration and gardening are important to give the cottages an irresistibly cosy feeling. We know the importance of a holiday and we try to bring all the necessary ingredients together to bring our guests to have a wonderful experience.

The cottages have names, who are they called after?

Each house is named after it's original owner: Corentin's grandmother, great grandparents, aunts and mother. It's our way of continuing on the history of the family and farm. It's a mark of respect for those people who left their trace on the cottages. We feel very lucky to carry their lovely names into the future. Each cottage is a mixture of old objects and modern comfort. The cottages have been decorated with LOVE to create a home from home feeling which invites you to sit down, relax and enjoy your stay.
